The 100 most influential DJs in Chicago House Music history will be convening for an historic photo shoot and after-party on Sunday, January 9th at Shrine Nightclub, 2109 S. Wabash. The house music legends on hand will include Frankie Knuckles, Steve "Silk" Hurley, Farley Jack Master Funk, the Hot Mix 5, Lil Louis and the Chosen Few DJs, just to name a few. I will be in attendance at this historic night at Shrine!
The Purpose of this event is to honor all the Djs, that contributed to the rise of House Music. They also shaped and formed the House Music Scene that we know and still love in this present day. This is an honor that is long overdue for the Djs from the birthplace of House..
I am honored that I will be able to apart of this event. These Djs are the reason, I fell in love with House Music. Now me and House Music have a life-long love affair..
So for the next three days, the blog will be featuring hot mixes/tracks from some of the honorees of Chicago Dj Day..
